Exclusive: This $7.9M estate on Tampa Bay will appeal to luxury buyers and developers

A gated waterfront estate in Safety Harbor that hits the market Monday is an opportunity for real estate developers as well as luxury homebuyers.

The 9,365-square-foot home at 2600 Phillippe Parkway sits on roughly 10 acres, making it one of the largest parcels available on the Tampa Bay, said Jennifer Zales, an associate with Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate who is listing the property.

“This is a huge waterfront lot right in the heart of Tampa Bay, in the beautiful town of Safety Harbor,” Zales said in a statement. “In addition to buyers purchasing this as a premium waterfront estate, it also presents a unique opportunity for developers as there are about 10 bayfront acres to work with. It also offers a high degree of privacy that one does not often find available on the water.”

The property is priced at $7.9 million. It was built in 2002, according to Pinellas County property records. It is owned by Kung-Ti and Wen-Ying Sung Yen, who paid $750,000 for the lot in 1998.

It features contemporary architecture, with an extensive use of glass and sleek finishes. The house has six bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms as well as an in-law suite with full kitchen, multiple terraces and a four-car garage.
