Former Tampa Bay Rays star Fred McGriff has listed his Avila estate for sale for $3.495 million.
The house at 16314 Millan de Avila sits on a double lot, nearly 1.8 acres, and is 11,768 square feet. A team of real estate agents from Coldwell Banker Global Luxury, Jennifer Zales and Michelle Fitz-Randolph, have listed the property for sale.
A different listing agent brought the property to market in late 2017. Click through the photos for a tour of the home.
McGriff and his wife, Veronica McGriff, paid $555,000 for the lot in 1992. McGriff’s Major League Baseball career included six teams and ended with the then-Devil Rays in 2004.
“This custom built estate is located in one of the most beautiful sections on Avila on two lots,” the agents said in a statement. “We are thrilled to offer this at a time when Avila is experiencing some great trends in home sales and new construction.”
Zales sold the two highest priced homes in Tampa in 2018: The $9.5 million Stovall-Lee House on Bayshore Boulevard, which the Casper family is planning to convert to a private social club, and the $6.2 million sale of 88 Martinique Ave. on Davis Islands.
